With Nassau County involvement in the peaceful protests in Freeport, Freeport has designated the County the lead agency. Therefore, effective immediately, all protest organizers must contact Nassau County and the Freeport Police Department 24 hours before any scheduled protest, provide the route, obey all traffic rules and adhere to the County’s Free Speech Protection Roadway Protocol.
