You can download an application online or obtain one in person at the Human Resources Office in Village Hall, Room 217, Monday through Friday between the hours of 9AM and 4PM. Please keep in mind that the majority of our full-time job titles require certification through written examination.Human Resources

The Village of Freeport adopted a local law pertaining to the residency of its employees. Under this law, (Section 42 of the Code of Ordinances), every person hired by the Village must either be a current resident of the Village or become a resident of the Village within six (6) months of successfully passing their probationary period. a) Proof of residency will be needed at the time of application submittal. Acceptable forms of identification include one piece of postmarked mail with your address listed (such as a bill or statement), or a current lease. A Driver's License is not considered valid proof of residency. b) If you are an exempt fireman, please bring with you your certificate (copies are acceptable). c) Also, please bring with you a blue or black ink pen.Human Resources
